Rachel Havard

Trade Mark Attorney

Rachel is a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, qualified since 2000, with more than 25 years spent in private practice in the Midlands and in London.

Rachel enjoys building strong relationships in every aspect of her work, especially getting out and about to see her clients, to learn all she can about their businesses to identify where and how best to help.  Rachel has delivered substantial trade mark availability search projects, especially in the area of pharmaceuticals, but in a diverse range of other industries too.  She devises and implements appropriate strategies for protection and enforcement of trade marks in the UK, Europe and internationally, with a good eye for commercially sensible resolutions to legal problems. Rachel’s clients include those in the food and beverage, construction, fashion and legal services sectors and she cooperates with overseas trade mark attorneys she has met and worked with for decades, to provide an international service to respective end clients.

Rachel joined Two IP to release more time to know her clients even better, to enhance the service given to them without distractions of partnership management, but also to achieve more of a work/life equilibrium. In her spare time she loves theatre, music, singing and spending quality time with her family, especially skiing and VW campervanning.

Career History

From 2006 to 2022, Rachel was a partner in a well respected, century old London firm of patent and trade mark attorneys, where she gained extensive experience working in a Legal 500 top tier team as a UK and European Trade Mark and Designs Attorney.  This included representing household names, as an extension to their own in house legal teams, but also opportunities to introduce business founders to the importance of IP, helping them to develop and protect their brands from Day 1, with the great satisfaction of seeing their future accomplishments.
